Paul Napholz is Immortal

Born September 10, 1992. Custom ordered looks from his mom. A baby, who, while the rest of the babies in the nursery were sleeping, was just wide eyed and appeared to be ready to take everything in.

This isn’t an exaggeration. Paul didn’t sleep a lot as a baby, nor did he cry a lot. When he was mad, you knew it because he was PISSED OFF. But for the most part, through childhood, as long as you told him what was going on and he thought it made sense, he’d say “okay”. He was the ultimate team player- almost too much. He was the guy who had a lot to say, but stood back to allow others to be heard. That was his MO. Paul listened. And he felt. And he acted on his beliefs.

This blog is intended to honor my son’s short life, leave a legacy for his daughters, and to help a community heal and learn about the illness that ultimately took his life. I will share his music and his writings each week. And with the permission of those who have already shared, I will share words and writings from friends and family that reached out to us since his death.

You are invited to share as well.

    Blue Christmas 2023-Paul’s Mom

Funny that I was in a meeting this week with a person in long term recovery who said that if something is making him uncomfortable, he’s pretty sure he needs to lean into it. I was at that moment considering telling Lisa that I couldn’t do this. When this event was brought up to me Read more

    Pauly Starfox McNipplez

Paul’s words: My name is Pauly Starfox McNipplez, and I’m a legend in my own time. Well, I guess that’s for you to decide but as long as I’m writing the history book, that’s the truth. Just like how Columbus discovered America, and just like how Jesus was white, and just like how the twin Read more
